From the
Weston Republican Town Committee
website...
“Our town is at an historic crossroads. Weston is a small
residential community whose taxpayers are faced with the challenges
of keeping Weston educationally, economically, recreationally and
socially strong.
“The Weston Republican Town Committee respects the residents and
applauds the volunteers, who, over the years, have made
our town such a welcoming and desirable place to live.”
W. Glenn Major
Chairman, Weston Republican Town Committee
Our Mission
Our mission is to conduct an open process to identify, select, support
and advise candidates – both elected and appointed –
for town, state and federal office, who honor our community’s
traditions
and reflect our Republican philosophy of appropriately
limited government, fiscal discipline, and individual freedom.
We believe that less government – local, state and national – and
individual rights must guide us.
Our Objectives
Commitment to educational excellence
delivered
in a fiscally responsible way, which directly benefits the students
Preservation of the rural character of
our
town and its environment
Delivery of town services that provides
for
the public safety and preserves the quality of life for our residents
A town budget process which is open,
responsive and disciplined and where services are maintained at a cost
appropriate to all taxpayers.
